Sunday Social – Summer!

Sunday Social

Linking up with Neely & Ashley for another Sunday Social!  About the end of summer!  Sniff sniff.  I freaking love summer, but I’m starting to get a little twitchy for fall.

What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?

Friends, I’m just realizing that I never posted an update about our JULY vacation.  Oy.

We had a fun first summer with Benjamin – lots of trips to the beach house with my parents, a vacation to Maine with Derek’s family, and starting to do more fun activities with Ben.  His current favorite activity is going to the swings on the playground. LOVES IT.

Honest to god, if this isn’t the cutest baby you ever did see…?!

So, it’s hard to pick a favorite.  You guys will laugh when I tell you that one of my most favorite memories this summer is when I took Ben to Whole Foods a few weeks ago, and we enjoyed a nice little mother-son lunch date in their cafĂ© area.  Swear to god, I freaking loved it.  It was the simplest, simplest thing, but it was THE BEST!

Favorite outfit look of the summer/clothing item?

Friends, I cannot tell you how many times I rocked my black half maxi dress – I say half because it’s not floor length, but not short either.  Okay, maybe it’s just a black dress.  Whatevs.  Anyway, I loved it best with a fabu top knot – the one that I learned from Jana’s tutorial.

I’ll admit, I am not the most cutely stylish person.  I am by no means a dorky weirdo, but I don’t take a lot of risks.  Here’s a quick summary of my fave instagrammed looks this summer (a.k.a. the outfits I wore on major repeat all summer long):

What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer?

Probably go to the beach more and spend more time with Benjamin outside.  But when you, and more importantly, your baby, have sensitive, pasty, Edward-Cullen-like skin, sometimes it’s not worth dealing with all the sun protection that’s needed to go outside.

Case in point – this is all the getup we require to go to the beach:

Favorite song of the summer?

I am the least qualified person to pick.  I’m home all day, and when I’m listening to the radio in my car, it’s on NPR. #WhatAnOldLady

Anyway, here are a few faves:

Love me some Nicki!
Such a different sound–love it.
Don’t hate me. It’s so catchy.

Favorite movie/tv show of the summer?

Ummm OBVIOUSLY this:

Best. Show. Ever.

See y’all next week, Honey Boo Boo chiiiiiild!

  1. Holy crap, how fancy am I?! Thanks for the shout out! I like your outfits you showcased. They're all super cute. Also - that's a lot of work just to visit the beach for a bit. And I know Honey Boo Boo is so wrong...but it's just so right!

  6. The bebe is super cute :) And every song you put on there is on my iPod. I still haven't caught on the to the Honey Boo Boo craze, I kind of feel left out when I hear people talk about it.

    Have a great day!

Nothing in the world makes me happier than sweet comments. Well, except for Benjamin giggles. But comments are a close second!
