Hello friends!  Can I tell you how crazy excited I am for the first week of the new Mommy Confessions linkup that Megan from The Memoirs of Megan, and I, are now running?  It’s finally here!

So please, join us!  Tell us your deepest darkest Mommy Confessions, grab a button, and link up!

As a reminder, this linkup is for ALL kinds of moms! Moms of humans, moms of dogs, moms of cats, you name it! If you can mother it, you can confess it!

And because we all like to play by the rules, here they are:

  1. Follow your lovely hosts, Cookies For Breakfast via Google Friend Connect, and The Memoirs of Megan via Bloglovin’.
  2. Write a post sharing your Mommy Confession of the week, and link up on Cookies For Breakfast or The Memoirs of Megan.
  3. Post the Mommy Confessions button in your blog post and/or on your blog.
  4. VIsit at least one other blog in the linkup – this is a blog hop!

Join us weekly, every Tuesday, and share your confessions!

And now, for my first confession…

~~~~
I don’t like to talk much about hanky panky.  You know what I mean.  We all do it, and obviously, I’m married, and I have a child, so hanky panky happens.  Awkward topic, and I hate to go all TMI on you, but hey.  It’s the first week of Mommy Confessions so go big or go home.  Let’s acknowledge that it’s a fact of life and it happens in your home, as well as the Cookies For Breakfast home.
(Benjamin, future children, and Mom, if you’re reading this, now’s a good time to skip to the next blog post.)
So hanky panky.  Hanky panky gets a little more challenging when you have kids, amiright?  Benjamin, much to my chagrin, is quite possibly the lightest sleeper of all time, and has a seriously accurate hanky panky radar.
After a good amount of something that rhymes with schmock-flocking, I finally threw in the towel.  Why wait until Benjamin is sleeping, for hanky panky?  Surely there must be a way that he can be safe, enjoying his own alone time, while there’s a little bow-chicka-bow-wow happening elsewhere.
Enter The Wiggles.
Our little Benny loves him some Wiggles.  I know, I know, I swore up and down, “No TV until age 3!” but it’s a great distractor when I’m trying to get ready in the morning, put away laundry without him destroying my neatly folded piles, and… hanky panky.
Pop baby in the Pack & Play.  Flick on The Wiggles.  Leave the room.  Hanky panky.  Done and done.
Now, it’s not unusual to get an email or text during the day saying, “Wiggles tonight?”
Brings a new meaning to Get Ready to Wiggle, no?
Alright, friends, now link up with us!  We CANNOT WAIT to read your confessions!
  7. Bahahahahahaha....the euphemism in our home was 'backrubs'. It got to the point where they would be talked about in front of my mom. (You're going to far homie...)
    It is funny the lengths you have to go to for adult time lol. Wait til he walks, talks, and opens doors.
    'Daddy what are you and Mommy DOING?!?!?'
  8. Bahahha, go big or go home, I love it! :) We may have been known to do something similar, usually while Bubble Guppies is on... my kids love that show. ;)
  10. Thank jesus I don't:
    a) co-sleep
    b) have a light sleeping baby
    But with my hairy legs and beard, maybe my husband will deny me some hanky panky until I become female yet again.
    :)
    This post lived up to the hype. Bravo.
    I laughed, and will forever feel dirty watching the Wiggles now.
  11. YEEES I am so glad I'm not alone here. We don't get ours until the morning (weird schedules) so I set my kid up with breakfast and tv and we have some *ahem* alone time.
  12. HAHA! This was great and maybe I should introduce the Wiggles to Mackenzie. Although now she would just bang on our door if we disappeared. Glad we are the only ones who have trouble finding time.
    Also, when I was in college living with my parents for a summer, I was always sent to the grocery store when my dad came home from business trips. Got to love being at the grocery store wondering if you have been shopping long enough. :o)
Nothing in the world makes me happier than sweet comments. Well, except for Benjamin giggles. But comments are a close second!
